Award Season Highlights 2015: Golden Globes

Hi all! Sorry it's a little late but here is a small round up of my best dressed celebs at this years Golden Globes. Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace Once again, Kate is keeping it simple yet show-stoppingly gorgeous. This white Versace creation is a true masterpiece. She looks amazing but its not her that I'm drawn to. The dress is what sells it for me; the way the dress is constructed is very detailed yet structured and geometric. As you already know, I tend to hate white as a red carpet colour. I think it is a wedding dress colour and never really makes me excited - apart from at a wedding of course! However, I think the way this dress cuts out around her hips and waist revealing her gorgeous porcelain skin underneath is just stunning. The white gives it an interesting innocence and makes it more appropriate for the red carpet - especially for such an important event as the Golden Globes - and makes it all the more pristine and angelic. Her hair has been styled perfectly to show off the interest held in her garment and her make up matches the theme of heavenly, yet almost futuristic white. Something that I really think works are her simple and bare accessories. Again, it brings more attention to the outfit but maintains that Hollywood glamour that is ever-present on the red carpet. Overall, I think Kate looks like a galactic angel with serious style and a killer custom-made Versace to prove it. Keep going Kate, we salute you. Julianne Moore in Givenchy I love this dress sooooo much; to the moon and back! Julianne Moore always know how to surprise and excite people on the red carpet. Not that I have anything bad to say about her, but say take Meryl Streep. She is an unstoppable force that will forever be respected and will be winning awards till the day she dies so she doesn't always give what she wears 100% effort. However, there isn't a moment in her dress history wear Julianne hasn't taken time over her outfit, considering various aspects and details. This dress is perfect because it shows how confident she is. Out of all the younger actresses that went to the Globes, Julianne was by far one of my favourites. Fashion doesn't always have to be about being young, older women understand it just as good - and in Julianne's case, better! I love how the dress is quite a simple design. It draws more attention to its surface design. The gorgeous feathers at the bottom rising up into shimmering sequins are a classic Givenchy style. Now, although Givenchy AW'14 wasn't all that glamorous - more casual and chic than classic - this dress screams out Hollywood. I'm also impressed that Julianne went for a dress and designer that isn't usually used on the red carpet for events such as these. It shows that most of the time, having the courage to take a risk can really pay off! Emma Stone in Lanvin Breaking the rules is meant to be bad but Emma Stone makes bad look so good! A jumpsuit at the Golden Globes, you say? Oh, how common - NOT! This is by far one of my favourite looks this year because its just so ridiculously brilliant. I love how Emma Stone interprets style and just takes it to a whole other place. We need more people like this today. We need more fashion icons to experiment and go out there an wear something totally crazy because they will be the ones that are remembered. This outfit reminds me of Emma Watson, last year. She wore a gorgeous Dior dress which was backless with brown trousers underneath - now that was seen as daring. However, wearing a full-on jumpsuit to the Golden Globes? In my eyes, genius. Not only is she confident and rocking it on the carpet, she also looks comfortable, at home in what she's wearing. And at a stressful event such as the Golden Globes, you want to feel as stress free as you can. I love it. What an amazing year she had last year, and to come in now with this sensational fashion statement in the very first month of this year? Very promising indeed. I love the bow at the back because it makes the dress just that little bit elegant. Classic style and form are essential on the red carpet and Emma has proved that you don't have to wear a huge gown shaped like a meringue in order to achieve that. Yes Emma! Bring on 2015...!
